On May 5, 2005 Amherst Officers attend the Ohio Peace Officer Memorial at the Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy, in London. Amherst Patrolman Rupert Becker (the only Amherst Police Officer to lose his life in the line of duty) was honored at the ceremony.
