November 19 - November 25, 2017

  • On Sunday, November 19, 2017 at approximately 0849 AM, officers were dispatched to Longitude Lane in reference to a house being egged. The suspects were located and after an investigation, Kyle Farkas, age 18 of Lorain, and a juvenile, age 15 of Lorain, were both charged with Criminal Mischief, Disorderly Conduct and Littering.


  • On Sunday, November 19, 2017 at approximately 10:47 PM, officers were dispatched to a report of a male bleeding and in the middle of the road near the intersection of North Leavitt Road and Kresge Drive. Upon arrival, officers secured the scene and were attempting to investigate the incident. During this investigation, a male was causing a disturbance and not following a lawful order to stay away from the scene. The male continued to hamper the officer’s abilities to investigate the incident and was subsequently arrested after multiple warnings. As the male was being arrested, he removed a plastic bag of drugs from his pants pocket and threw them across the road. The drugs were recovered and additional charges were added. The male, Nathan Manwaring, age 18 of Lorain, was charged with Tampering With Evidence, Possession Schedule IV Drugs, Drug Paraphernalia, Misconduct At An Emergency, Underage Consumption and Open Container.



  • On Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at approximately 9:29 PM, a traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, the driver and passenger were found to be in possession of a large amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The driver, Bradley Fairbanks, age 22 of Elyria, was charged with Trafficking Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia, Criminal Tools and Turn Signal. The passenger, Bradley Schneider, age 21 of Elyria, was charged with Trafficking Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana, and Drug Paraphernalia.


  • On Thursday, November 23, 2017 at 1:24 AM, officers observed a male attempting to gain entry into a downtown bar. About 15 minutes earlier, the male was kicked out of the bar and told not to return or he would be arrested. An investigation was conducted and Martin A. Nieves, age 23 of Lorain, was charged with Criminal Trespass and Disorderly Conduct Intoxication.



  • On Friday, November 24, 2017 at approximately 1:54 PM, officers were dispatched to a business on Oak Point Road, in reference to a theft complaint. An investigation was conducted and Nicole Sangermano, age 39 of New Hampshire, was charged with Theft and Criminal Tools.


  • On Saturday, November 25, 2017 at approximately 12:00 AM, an officer on patrol on State Route 58 near Kresge Drive observed a driver commit several traffic violations.   Due to the violations, the officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop on Liberty Bell Drive near Cooper Foster Park Road. The operator of the vehicle failed to stop and led officers in a short pursuit. After the vehicle was stopped an investigation was conducted. Blanca Chavez, age 33 of Lorain, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .170%, Failure to Comply, Weaving, Stop Sign, Marked Lanes and Red Light.
