October 15 - October 21, 2017

  • On Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at approximately 1:34 PM, an officer was on patrol in the area of North Leavitt Road near State Route 2 when he observed a vehicle being operated without any type of registration displayed on the vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation conducted. The driver refused to provide his identity to officers and stated the officers had no right to stop him. The driver was eventually placed under arrest. Andrew Hatchette, age 34 of Richmond Heights, was charged with Failure to Comply, Obstructing Official Business, Display of License Plates, Expired Plates and Safety Belt.


  • On Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 8:17 PM, while an officer was patrolling State Route 58, a vehicle pulled out in front of his cruiser from a parking lot, almost causing a collision. Due to the offense, a traffic stop was initiated. The vehicle stopped for a short time and then took off and led officers in a short pursuit. After the vehicle stopped an investigation was conducted. Jamie L. Williams, age 42 of Grafton, was charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, B.A.C. over .170%, Failure To Comply, Failure To Yield and Marked Lanes.



  • On Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 1:18 PM, officers were dispatched to a business on Oak Point Road in regards to a male that was in custody for theft. An investigation was conducted and Andrew R. Flynn, age 21 of Lorain, was charged with Petty Theft.


  • On Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 9:31PM, officers were dispatched to an apartment on Middle Ridge Road in regards to an unruly juvenile complaint. An investigation was conducted and a 10 year old male was cited for Unruly Juvenile.



  • On Friday, October 20, 2017 at approximately 5:00 PM, officers were dispatched to a business on North Leavitt Road in reference to a menacing complaint. It was reported an employee was threatened by a customer with physical violence. An investigation was conducted and Thomas Blinco Jr., age 19 of Amherst, was charged with Aggravated Menacing, Disturbing the Peace, Criminal Trespass and Disorderly Conduct.
