  • On Monday, July 24, 2017 at 2:40 AM, officers were dispatched to Walnut Drive for a suspicious parked vehicle. An investigation was conducted and a female juvenile, age 14 of Amherst, was cited into Lorain County Juvenile Court for Curfew.

     

  • On Monday, July 24, 2017 at approximately 11:27 PM, an officer was dispatched to a business on North Leavitt Road in reference to several males occupying a vehicle and believed to be consuming intoxicating beverages while parked at the business. An investigation was conducted and Christopher Satterfield, age 21 of Elyria, was charged with Liquor Consumption in a Motor Vehicle, Open Container and Possession of Marijuana. Ryan Bassett, age 21 of Elyria, was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

     

     

  • On Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 10:56 PM, officers were dispatched to a business on Cleveland Avenue for an assault complaint. An investigation was conducted and Brandy Smith, age 31 of Amherst, was charged with Assault, Disorderly Conduct Persisting, Possession of Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia and Disturbing the Peace.

     

  • On Friday, July 28, 2017 at 7:51 PM, officers were dispatched to a business on Oak Point Road for a shoplifting complaint. The suspect fled the business eastbound toward Oak Point Road. Upon arrival, officers were alerted that the male entered a black SUV in the area of Oak Point Road and South Mayflower Drive. The vehicle was located and a traffic stop was initiated. An investigation was conducted and the male was found to be a back seat occupant in the vehicle. Jose Torres, age 25 of Lorain, was charged with Theft and Criminal Damaging.

     

     

  • On Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 5:41 PM, an officer was dispatched to the area of North Ridge Road and North Dewey Road for a single vehicle accident. Upon arrival, the officer observed a disabled vehicle with 4 flat tires blocking the roadway and the driver of the vehicle standing off the side of the roadway. After an Investigation, Michael Vimpeny, age 35 of Lorain, was charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, State Refusal, Driving Under ALS Suspension and Failure to Control.
