April 30 - May 6, 2017

  • On Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 3:31 AM, an officer on patrol on Cooper Foster Park Road observed a driver commit a traffic offense. A traffic stop was initiated and an investigation conducted. Eddie Rush, age 52 of Lorain, was charged with Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence, BAC over .170% and Speed.

     

  • On Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 1:23 AM, an officer was on patrol on North Main Street, Southbound and passed a Northbound vehicle. While passing the vehicle, the patrol vehicle was struck with an unknown object, later found to be an egg. The officer was able to obtain a partial license plate on the vehicle, which he later located parked and occupied with two males at a residence on Cooper Foster Park Rd. An investigation was conducted and the driver, Brandon Kordeleski, age 19 and passenger, Vito Palella age 19, both of Lorain, were charged with Criminal Mischief and Littering.

     

  • On Thursday, May 4, 2017 at approximately 1:03 AM, officers were dispatched to a residence on Cooper Foster Park Road in reference to a trespassing complaint. It was reported an unknown female was sitting near the front door. An investigation was conducted and Jennifer Dingess, age 46 of Lorain, was charged with Criminal Trespass.

     

  • On Friday, May 5, 2017 at approximately 2:26 PM, officers were dispatched to a business on North Leavitt Road in reference to a male and female attempting to purchase items with fraudulent ID’s. An investigation was conducted and Warren Miller, age 51of New York was charged with Identity Fraud, Forgery and Obstructing. Jessica Rankin, age 24 of Maryland, was arrested and charged with Criminal Tools, Complicity and Improper Handling of a Firearm.

     

  • On Saturday, May 06, 2017 at 12:01 AM, an officer was on patrol in the parking lot of a business on Kresge Drive. The officer was flagged down and was advised a fight was about to start in a Cinco de Mayo party area. Ultimately it was found that two intoxicated males were causing a disturbance and refused to leave the property when asked to do so by management. During the course of the investigation it was found that both males involved in this incident were suspects from an earlier road rage assault complaint. Gregory Haehn, age 33 of Polk, was charged with Assault, Obstructing Official Business, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Damaging and Disorderly Conduct Intoxication. Aaron Haehn, age 37 of Grafton, was charged with Disorderly Conduct Intoxication.
