  • On Monday, January 20, 2014, at approximately 04:26 PM, officers were dispatched to a business on Oak Point Road in reference to a shoplifter in custody. An investigation was conducted and Garrett Davenport, age 25 of Sandusky, was charged with Theft, Possession of Criminal Tools and Possession of Schedule IV Drugs.

 

  • On Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at 02:30 AM, officers were dispatched to the area of businesses on North Leavitt Road in reference a male asking customers for money. Upon arrival, officers located the male in question at a business. An investigation was conducted. Due to multiple calls about the male through the day and the male being warned to stay off a business property earlier, Steven Comrie, age 33 of Lagrange, was charged with Criminal Trespass and Disorderly Conduct.

 

  • On Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at approximately 03:45 PM, officers were dispatched to East Martin Street in reference to four males making explosives in the backyard and stealing street signs. Upon arrival, the four males were located along with the stolen street signs, homemade "works bomb" explosives and explosive making materials. The signs were confiscated and the suspected explosives were vented and disposed of. David Orzech, age 18 of Amherst, was charged with Inducing Panic, Criminal Tools, Disorderly Conduct, and Unlawful Possession of Signals/Street Signs. A male juvenile, age 17 of Amherst, was charged with Inducing Panic, Criminal Tools, Disorderly Conduct, and Unlawful Possession of Signals/Street Signs. A male juvenile, age 17 of Lorain, was charged with Inducing Panic, Criminal Tools, and Disorderly Conduct. A male juvenile, age 17 of Lorain was charged with Inducing Panic, Criminal Tools, and Disorderly Conduct.
