On Sunday, January 3, 2010, at approximately 1:59am, an officer, while in City Lot #3, was approached by an unknown male stating there was a fight in RC's Brewhouse, Church Street. Officers responded to RC’s and conducted an investigation. James Fenderson, age 24 of Canton, was arrested and charged with Assault and Disorderly Conduct. | |

On Monday, January 4, 2010, at 3:17pm, an officer was dispatched to Church Street Bar and Grille, Church Street, in regards to a runaway juvenile. Bar staff stated a juvenile male had asked to use their phone because he ran away from home. Upon arrival, the juvenile, age 14 of Amherst, was taken into custody and an investigation was conducted. He was later transported to the Turning Point and charged with Unruly Juvenile. | |

On Tuesday, January 5, 2010, at approximately 9:57pm, an officer was dispatched to the area of West Martin and North Lake Street in regards to a possible intoxicated driver. According to dispatch, the vehicle involved had nearly struck two other vehicles head on and was reported to be all over the road. Upon arrival into the area, the officer observed the vehicle in question being blocked by a black SUV at the intersection. An investigation was conducted and the driver, Eddie Akers, age 62 of Amherst, was arrested and charged with Operating a Vehicle Intoxicated, BAC over .08, Driving in Marked Lanes , Reckless Operation, and Failure to Control. |
